Upon finishing Chiropractic school in Atlanta Georgia, I decided to move home to Calgary Canada and set up a chiropractic practice. In school I did a lot of work with athletes, athletic injuries, and increased athletic performance. I was fortunate enough to do an internship at a chiropractic clinic that dealt with professional athletes who played hockey, baseball, basketball, football, track and field, and even some professional wrestlers. As fun as it was working with the who’s who of professional sports in Atlanta, I felt that I really wanted to change my focus to more of a family chiropractic practice. So that is what I got into when I became a Chiropractor in Calgary AB.

Being in family practice I do still get to work with athletes, although they may not be as high profile as some of the ones in Atlanta, it is fantastic to see how chiropractic care can help to make them better athletes.

I am 45 years old and have been doing triathlons now for the last 10 years and had started to feel the effects of these long grueling races on my body when I originally came in to see Dr. Cain at Fish Creek Chiropractic. I was not having pain that was stopping me from racing but my times were getting slower and slower, my training seemed to be harder to do, I just didn’t feel as good as I once did. After a very thorough exam, which included x-rays and nerve scans, I could see the root of my problem and was given a clear outline as to what I could do to correct it. As I progressed through my care I noticed that I was having more energy, my workouts became less of a hassle, on re-exams I could see that my nervous system was working more efficiently, I was not having the aches and pains that I used to have, I was just feeling healthier. Best of all, 2.5 months after starting care and my first race since starting care I broke my personal best time by 2 min and 32 seconds. Thank you Dr. Cain for getting me back on track. Mike G
As rewarding as this is to see people achieving goals that they set, not all of these goals come in the form of achieving personal bests in sport.
I originally came in to see Dr. Cain for headaches and neck pain that I had been having for the last 15 years. My pain was always kind of annoying but I was still able to function throughout the day, but since the birth of my third child 2 years ago things were getting progressively worse. My headaches were now coming more often, the pain was more intense, and they were getting harder and harder to get rid of. It had gotten to the point where I had to lock myself in a dark room for an entire day. This was not only hard on my children, who need me to take care of them, it was causing a big strain in my marriage as well. After the first adjustment with Dr. Cain I started to notice relief. Things just continued to get better and better and I now have gotten to the point where I never have to take a day off because of my head and neck. This has not only gotten me out of pain but I feel that it has given me my family back. Daysha G. age 33.
